About Me

Hello and welcome! If you are visiting to learn some crafty goodness and get some inspiration for scrapbooking and cardmaking, then you've come to the right place!  I've been papercrafting since 1989, when I decided to make Christmas cards for family using Hero Arts stamps.  And I've been scrapbooking since 1999 to capture memories from my engagement and wedding (this doesn't even count the "old-fashioned" scrapbooks I created in high school and college that I still have!) -- so I've had the chance to see a LOT of trends over time! 

My style has definitely changed over time, along with trends.  I’d describe my style as fun textured – I like cut files, layers, stitching, and patterns, but I’ve also been known to create layouts with white space or other techniques depending on the situation and mood. My favorite things to scrapbook are my family, and I have captured a lot of our main events.  But, I'm starting to also document specific moments, cute sayings from my kids, and even myself (which is very hard for me to do!).

I'm a wife and mother of two from Katy, Texas (near Houston). I work for a large high-tech firm in marketing for my day job, and I enjoy family-time, reading, and of course, chocolate.

My focus for the next couple of years is to develop my style further, use digital cut files more, share through my blog, and learn new things along the way.  I'm currently on the Design Team for JustNick Studio cut file store.
