Hello crafty friends!

Last week, I shared a new layout on the JustNick Studio blog showcasing a watercolor background underneath one of her awesome cut files.

I love the look of the watercolors swirled together underneath the Heart Background 5 cut file, mixed with the patterned paper-backed hearts and the Scribble Hearts cut files. They create lots of dimension!

Watercolor or mixed media backgrounds do tend to warp the paper unless you prep with Gesso, but I also share a trick that will help with flattening the paper if you don't have Gesso or don't want to use it.  So head over to the JustNick Studio blog to read about it and see close-ups.
