{She Is Sunshine} JustNick Studio Design Team Project
Hello lovely creatives! I'm so glad you could visit my small part of the crafty Internet with me. :) Today I'm sharing a sweet layout of my daughter when she was not even three years old. She had chosen her own outfit and put the clothes on all by herself!
I used the Delicate Butterflies cut file and the gorgeous Pink Paislee Bloom Street collection by Paige Evans together. The papers match my daughter's outfit *beautifully*!
Head on over to the JustNick Studio blog for close ups and details on how the layout came together.
See you soon!

Selfie Captured | JustNick Studios Design Team (Using a cut file as a stencil tutorial)
Hello friends! So glad you stopped by today. Yesterday, Nicole announced the new term's design team for JustNick Studios, and I'm super excited to share I'm starting my second term! Squee!
Our first layout of the term is "About Me", so I chose to do a colorful layout by creating a stencil from a cut file to create my background. I'd love for you to hop over to the JustNick blog to see how!
This wasn't hard, but the results sure are beautiful! The Horizon collection by Paige Taylor Evans for Pink Paislee is just lovely.
Thanks so much for visiting today - I'd love for you join me on Instagram for more fun and inspiration, too.
Have a crafty week!

Sweet | JustNick Design Team
Howdy crafty friends! Welcome to April, welcome to spring. I'm here today with a fun mixed media cut file layout for JustNick using a very spring-y floral cut file and elements from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away collection by Paige Evans. Take a look!
If you are new to mixed media or looking for some tips, I share a good tip on the JustNick blog on keeping your paper flat to cut mixed media using your electronic cutting machines (such as my Silhouette Cameo). Go check out the tip and some close ups where you can see I used Bo Bunny Sugar Glitter Paste as a glue for some beads and sequins. Fun!

Remember Today - JustNick Studios Design Team
How is your January shaping up? Mine seems to have rushed by my very eyes. Time is such a funny thing, isn't it? For example, I went to print a photo for the layout I'm sharing today and thought it was taken more recently than it was...and so it took me longer to find it.
<insert eyeroll here>
In any case, I had a blast playing with Distress Oxide inks to create this colorful background shared on the JustNick blog recently, and I hope you like it. I chose colors to match the Pink Paislee Whimsical collection by Paige Evans.
I used three cut files on this one. To see which ones as well as some close-ups with more details, head over to the JustNick blog!
See you soon. xoxo

{Moments I Love} JustNick Studios
Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope you are enjoying your summer. If you are like me, you probably have a past trip that you hold dear to your heart. For me and my family, that place is Banff, Alberta, Canada - we went a little over two years ago. It's *stunning*. Really. And someday we want to go back. Because I love the area so much, I used a JustNick cut file called Free Love for my large title.
I have some close ups on the JustNick Studios blog today, so please go check them out to see the details, the other cut file used, and a tip for creating contrast with cut files.
So glad you joined me today! Have a super week.

{Most Favorite} Creative Scrappers Sketch 297 Reveal
Hello everyone and welcome to August! The first of the month means a new sketch from Creative Scrappers and it's a fun one! We've partnered with The Cut Shoppe this month, and I used the Candy Hearts cut file with some Pink Paislee Fancy Free goodies to highlight a photo of my sweet niece. She's precious <3.
I opted to cut Candy Hearts from textured white cardstock. My original thought was to use white on white, but the Fancy Free papers had me thinking of watercoloring, so I decided to grab my waterbrush and my Distress Inks. After my hearts dried, I stuck them to my layout and sewed around the green ones.
I used two barcode strips from the Fancy Free papers to create the perpendicular pieces and sewed them as well. I fashioned a journal spot with a cut circle and a scalloped circle with some sewing.
I used embellishments from the Fancy Free goodies as well as the "That Smile" printable Kristine created.
I also sprinkled some Heidi Swapp Color Shine ink to add interest. And for some fun embellishments, I also fussycut some of the flowers and popped some up with 3D dots.
Those buttons and enamel pieces are so fun! I used the "Most Favorite" as my title.
Here's a look at the sketch, and don't forget to link up! Ashley has also created a fun cut file you can grab for a discount through August using code TCSCS25 - it's called "Inner Circle". Go check out the other design team members' layouts on the Creative Scrappers blog, too.
I hope you are inspired to use the sketch in your own way this month. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great week.

She is my Sunshine -- My Scraps & More sketch 110 reveal
Hello out there! Glad to be back on the blog today with the 2nd sketch reveal for July for My Scraps & More sketches. Today's sketch was a fun one by Juliana Michaels. When I saw the circles in the sketch, citrus immediately popped into my head! I had just downloaded a free sketch file from Scrapbook & Cards Today with a citrus slice...perfect! I combined Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss and Amy Tan Rise & Shine (that I got from MSAM) for my layout. Take a look:
The first thing I did was cut two 4" citrus slices using white cardstock. I cut two citrus "rinds" using the orange side of "Rachel" paper. I then backed the inside of the slices with various papers from both collections.
I flicked some of Heidi Swapp's Patina Color Shine to my base, and then I sewed a long rectangle from the "Sour" paper to my white cardstock base. Next I placed my citrus slices and sewed zig zag stitches to connect the inner and outer layers of the slices.
I placed buttons in the center of my slices for contrast. I love the zig zag stitching! Tip: sew slowly when going in circles - it's easy to get off track.
I matted my two photos with white cardstock (which I inked the edges of using CTMH Creme Brulee ink for more contrast) and the heart paper from Rise & Shine.
I took the bar code strip from Citrus Bliss Sour and sewed it along the bottom to anchor my page. I did a long strip of straight stitches and another strip of straight stitches with a small bit of zig zag on the right hand side. I placed some of the Citrus Bliss Ephemera on top of the bottom strip.
For my title, I used some letters from Simple Stories and Authentique as well as the "Sunshine" from the Citrus Bliss Ephemera pack, which I popped up with some foam tape.
I used a small journal tag from the Ephemera pack, some sequins, and more Ephemera around the layout.
Below is Juliana's fun sketch...please create your own version and link up to the My Scraps & More Sketch blog for a chance to win the July prize! Head over there now to take a look at the other designers' takes on her sketch, including her great layout of her pretty puppy!
Make it a fun weekend! See you soon.

{LOVE and be loved} - A Scrap Your Stash Blog Hop with Practical Scrappers -- And a Giveaway!!
Welcome, welcome to the Practical Scrappers "scrap your stash" blog hop!! You should have arrived here from Lanette Erickson's site. How about a $20 GIVEAWAY to keep the fun going? Check out my project and learn more about it at the end of this post.
Grab some chocolate...today I am sharing a layout based on the theme "Love" and using my stash of Pink Paislee "Secret Crush" collection (Heartbeat and Endless Love papers) and some Glitz Designs "Love You Madly" collection. My daughter has a February birthday, and because she is my HEART, it's very fitting to use Valentine's themed papers for a layout.

This layout was incredibly fun to pull together. I started with the Secret Crush papers and knew I wanted to use the side with the heart banners....ADORBS! I trimmed the bottom off to create space for a heart footer. I framed it by first inking all edges with CTMH Hollyhock ink and then matting it with CTMH Slate cardstock, leaving more room at the bottom.
We had two photos from Presley's birthday dinner, and they fit nicely in the gray polka dot Secret Crush frame. I created the pink polka dot frame from the other piece of Secret Crush I had because I wanted it to stand out from the distressed brown/gray polka dot background that I took from the Love You Madly paper pack (I popped up this photo with some 3D tape). To create the bottom layer under the photos, I took a rectangle of the pink paper and cut the shallow triangle to create a banner look. I took the triangle piece and moved it to the right of the photos to create the arrow effect. I inked the edges with Slate ink, and then once I had the mat down, I machine stitched over it.
I concentrated on the footer next and used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to create the solid and outline hearts using the same paper pieces used above. I spread them out so no two patterns were near each other, and then I machine-sewed through them with gray and pink thread. Aren't our silly faces funny??
I had a leftover Maya Road Vintage Heart clip on my desk, and when I put it on top of the solid heart, I loved how the shapes matched so well!!!
Once I had the base down, I focused on the embellishments. The banner on the paper was pretty on its own, but I added some Slate polka dot washi tape, a few other hearts, some Basic Grey candy buttons, some leftover Studio Calico sequins, a "love" sticker from Jillibean Soup's Wise Words, the "we are perfect together" sticker from Pebbles, and stamped hearts and arrows.
Going through my stamp stash, I came across the "Love and be loved" stamp from CTMH's C1385 Charmed set (retired). I cut the "Love" apart from the rest of the phrase (I LOVE being able to do that with acrylic stamps!) and then stamped the "and be loved" in Slate ink, followed by the "love" using Hollyhock ink. Love this title!
I finished with some lace ribbon and other embellishments as well as journaling on the page with my thoughts on my daughter turning 12. I hope you were inspired by my project!
Giveaway!
I'm giving away one $20 e-gift certificate to the My Scraps & More online store!
